[25/05/2010] #nullDC: i was actually considering purchasing a katana dev unit not only for testing dreamcast code i write, but to maybe implement some of the katana specific hardware quirks
[25/05/2010] #nullDC: usuallly, if i need a destructor, i make a physical method for it and just call it at the end of whatever function used my pseudo-object
[25/05/2010] #nullDC: i was even writing a graphics app that exported in the mega drive's native format (palettes and tiles split) but i kinda abandoned it
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: on the contrary i think cross platform looks much more beautiful than the nullDC code
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: anyone else in here actively working on nullDC, i need people to collaborate with
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: okay, now i feel like i just brought backup :/ this isnt what i wanted
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: i think there was some stuff in the sh4 core, im not sure
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: okay, i hate these stupid discarded qualifiers errors
Inner Thoughts
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: hold that thought, gonna reboot, pop my code off my linux drive to windows, and get working on aica :P (working without headers due to their relative crappiness is hard, there are a TON of local declarations for the base system :/
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: i know this was C++, and probably was easier to code with that way, but i also plan on porting this completely to c, then porting back specific portions to C++, only the ones that need to though
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: i almost finished porting the plugin code to platform-independent stuff, just gotta change it to just look for shared library files, whether .dll or .so, which i have no idea how to do :D
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: although i'd like to maintain a bit of a leash on the cross-platform version im doing until it is ported completely, then i can have people start working on actually improving it)
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: well, working on serial_ipc_client.cpp, maybe my approach should be to get each file and its dependencies cleaned up first, so like cl, get config and serial_ipc_client working
[25/05/2010] #nullDC: anyways, what im trying to do with nullDC besides cross-platform is making it easier for people writing applications with the (illegal :X) katana sdk to debug their stuff
[25/05/2010] #nullDC: not working on nullDC tonight, had a pokemon playing binge, and now im just gonna chill, i dont have to be at school until 10 tomorrow :D
[24/05/2010] #nullDC: Gerb: would it be a good idea, for my porting, to take out all the wchar_t and such stuff for now, and reintegrate that back in later?
