[26/12/2010] #dolphin-emu: StripTheS, that is probably not the shader cache - i think that is the JIT just doing it's stuff.. the code then goes into the JIT cache which makes it faster the second time around. I don't think we'll be able to get rid of those small pauses becaus
[13/07/2010] #dolphin-emu: hey ector, i want to run an idea past you. i want to change the interface of the jit regcache so that the regcache is the only one that allocates registers. at the end of block, we'll do a flush all. the interface looks like this: http://pastie.org/1
[07/01/2010] #dolphin-emu: ector, i was thinking of doing a partial static register allocation - x64 has so many registers, if we could allocate a third or half of them as static and the rest dynamic, that could make things faster? but i wanted profile results to prove it firs
[19/03/2011] #dolphin-emu: i think once they see how it works, it'll make sense.. people who want a lag counter probably do not care that much about the frame counter, correct? the users will decide which counter they are looking for and stick with that
[02/11/2010] #dolphin-emu: when you are, can you test if using the null sound back-end fixes the random desync in netplay? I think/hope it does. The games can use the sound hardware as a clock and this why we did not find it in the code.
[21/12/2010] #dolphin-emu: StripTheS, i hit either a major bug or many small bugs - will try to work them out today. also i am finding that the code needs to be optimised, so i will probably commit only after the optimisation is done too
[17/01/2010] #dolphin-emu: nakee, i think you kept this issue open because you want the null backend to be removed? we should clean that during this feature freeze, no? http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=1082
[15/10/2011] #dolphin-emu: apart from some minor wiimote state, i think the only other possibility is that we aren't saving all of the graphics state.. because we're mixing the virtual gfx hw with the read gfx hw in our code
Inner Thoughts
[17/10/2011] #dolphin-emu: Added GameCube Microphone support. Use a microphone in the default audio device. The Microphone is selectable from the Slot A/Slot B pulldowns under the GameCube tab. Thanks to MooglyGuy and skidau.
[27/02/2010] #dolphin-emu: towzzer, the last two things i worked on are the gba to gamecube link cable and f-zero gx (a gamecube game) and the next thing i am working on is eternal darkness (a gamecube game)
[23/01/2010] #dolphin-emu: either way :) i'll still keep on working on it. just asking because i know you are in the middle of some changes and probably wont want to merge this unstable code in
[24/12/2009] #dolphin-emu: lines 41 and 78 are simply documentation purposes... it was not clear to me what happened to the TU and TL SPR's by reading the code.. so i added them in explicitly
[10/01/2010] #dolphin-emu: yeh.. i couldnt work out how to get it to stop writing "loading settings" and "starting application" in the file log even when the file log was disabled
[09/12/2010] #dolphin-emu: ector, how about hard coding "MMU speed hack" by default and remove it as an option? that would be inaccurate, but i dont think any games would care
[05/07/2010] #dolphin-emu: this commit is a faster version of implementing JIT breakpoints. it does it by checking for the breakpoints in the fetch-execute loop
[15/09/2010] #dolphin-emu: lpfaint99, i removed the titleid = sysmenu id stuff that you added r6191. you did say that the hackfix does not work anymore, right?
